Introduction

This GIFA function library contains Matlab M-file routines necessary to run the generalized indicator function analysis (ind.m). This tutorial explains how to use the Matlab functions included in this package, and it intended for users with enough proficiency with the Matlab language and its working environment to manipulate their own data. The Matlab basics or the mathematical theory of image analysis will not be covered here. Users who are new to Matlab are advised to consult the MathWorks support page (www.mathworks.com/support/) and familiarize themselves with the software.
